Regional flags & symbols of Italy

Sicily- (Southern Italy & Islands) The famous Trinacria (a three-legged Medusa head with wheat), an ancient Greek symbol.

Calabria– (Southern Italy & Islands) A mix of Greek, Christian, and local symbols, including a Byzantine cross and a pine tree.

Tuscany– (Central Italy) A silver Pegasus on a red background, from the emblem of the Tuscan Grand Duchy.

Trentino-Alto Adige- (Northern Italy) Two eagles: a red Tyrolean eagle for Bolzano (South Tyrol) and a black eagle for Trento.

Veneto –(Northern Italy) The Lion of St. Mark, a winged lion holding a book, representing Venice and its historical power.

Lombardy –(Northern Italy) A green background with a white, stylized "Camunian rose," an ancient symbol from petroglyphs found in the region.

Lazio – (Central Italy) A complex emblem featuring the symbols of its provinces and Rome’s iconic SPQR.
